Mia is just about the cutest dog you will ever meet and you will never be able to say no to those bedroom eyes of hers.
Poor Mia has had the worst luck in her short life. First she was dumped by her owner (who was moving to a place where Mia could not live) at a kill shelter. In her last hour there, Mia was rescued by Satchel's Last Resort who had a staff member who could foster her. After a while she was adopted by a nice family and we all thought the story had a happy ending. Unfortunately, the family got in financial trouble and had to move up north to family who would not allow Mia to come along. This time, Mia ended up at the shelter (Satchel's). After having spent some time in the shelter another family came along and adopted her but now she is back again. This time it is partially her fault though, because she is a very strong girl and the kids in the family had a hard time walking her. This is easily corrected with a harness where the leash attaches to the front. We all use it while walking Mia and have no problems. For some reason the family never wanted to try that.
We are now looking for a forever home for Mia. So if you are looking for a dog who will shower you with kisses, who loves to go for walks, car rides and most of all snuggle, then please come and visit Mia. If Mia could have a choice, she would prefer a home with one or two adults that can shower all their love and attention on her. Even though she gets along with some dogs, she would probably like to be your only one so she can get all the love. When it comes to cats, she chases them so those are not recommended.
