Eileen wants you to pick her. Or even just pet her. Or even just glance her way!
She's a genuinely happy dog who's always jumping up and wagging her tail. It's amazing, in fact, that she's so darling, because Ilene runs around with 3 legs just like she did when she had 4 legs. This has not slowed her down at all. Some dogs would be traumatized by that! But Ilene is just bouncing around, hoping to become somebody's new dog and family member.
Eileen knows her name, and she knows how to "sit" and "lay down". She comes when called and just loves to play in the water. She is good with some dogs but not all dogs. When Ilene likes a another dog, she will play for hours. Ilene definitely loves soft toys and treats. She is ready for a ride in the car anytime. She's a one happy-go-lucky dog. Will you pick her?
WILBUR - Smart and Sensitive
And sure enough, there's nothing old about this handsome guy. He's only eight, but he's been looking for a home ever since he and Eileen found themselves homeless together.
Wilbur is very athletic and active, and is fond of long hikes. He also adores endless games of fetch -- your arm will wear out before he does! He's not always on the go, though -- Wilbur enjoys cuddling and scratches. He loves all people.
He truly enjoys all the volunteers who come to the sanctuary. He even has a bit of a fan club. Wilbur gets along just fine with some female dogs, and is hoping that somebody out there will become more than a fan - he's hoping somebody will become family.
