Satchel's is trying to help find Bandit a home by listing him on our website. This is what his owner has to say:
I am trying to find a good home for my dog, Bandit. I work double time and am never home. I love my dogs (the other is being fostered, until a home is found, with the lab rescue people) and I want them to have a better home then I can provide.
Bandit is a two and a half year old American Cur. He weighs about 80 lbs. He is sleek and high spirited. This dog would be a great partner for an active person that wants company on long walks and even rollerblading or bicycling. My mom taught him how to run along beside a bicycle. He just loves that. He loved to run in the woods near where we used to live. He is a lover boy. He is very affectionate. He is really good with people of all ages. He is great with little kids as well as seniors. He is good on the leash and mostly comes when he is called. Bandit is a great dog and needs a good home with room to run.
He is not always that great with other dogs. At the dog park he sometimes gets into tiffs if another dog is aggressive with him. He is fine with some dogs and he gets defensive with others. He has never gotten into a real fight, no blood drawn or anything like that.
Other than that, he is a really wonderful playmate and companion. If it weren't for the fact that I am never home and I feel sorry for him, I would keep him forever. He has a great look in his eyes. Very expressive and good eye contact. He is beautiful.
